Don't panic. Remember - most lumps are harmless

However, do get yourself checked out by your Doctor - who will perform an examination and decide whether further investigation is required.

If you are not happy with the decision, say so immediately - you are entitled to see a specialist. 

If you do receive a diagnosis confirming breast cancer, remember -you are not alone.

There are several people whom you can contact - including the breast care nurses at the Royal Derby Hospital and the members of our Support Group.

The Breast Cancer Care nurses can advise you on the medical procedures involved with the diagnosis, while we at Derby Breast Cancer Support can offer emotional support as we have ourselves experienced the anguish of breast cancer.
